When I think of perfect summer make-up- bronzer is a must have. Bronzer is that make-up product, that can help to create that summer tanned look- even if you don’t have time to enjoy the sun that much.
When I was thinking about perfect summer bronzer texture- I turned to powder bronzers. It’s also important, that this bronzer have skincare ingredients that gives skin some extra moisture and not a chalky feeling and/or look. Also in summer, it’s lovely to have bronzer with some tasteful shimmer to it.
I started my search, with research of sites like sephora.com, feelunique.com, cultbeauty.com and others and also youtube bronzer review videos. After this, at the top of my summer bronzer list where:
- TOM FORD BEAUTY SOLEIL GLOW BRONZER
- SISLEY Phyto-Touche Illusion d’ÉtÉ
- CHANTECAILLE Real bronze
This Tom Ford bronzer contains pressed powder formula. With specialized pigments, this luxe formula adheres with second-skin-like radiance. Cocoa seed butter softens and comforts, mango seed butter moisturizes with anti-aging properties, and cupuaçu butter from the Amazon is a nourishing emollient that provides skin with a protective, hydrating layer. This bronzer comes in two shades- 01 gold dust- powder with a glow and 02 terra- matte powder.
I did a swatch test of this bronzer and Sisley one- their finish were pretty identical, exept Tom Ford bronzer seemed more pigmented. Still needs to take in account that these bronzers have two different formulas.
I have more oily skin in summer, so I prefer powder formulas in summer.
I have not tried pressed gel powders- so can’t share my experience with them yet.
This Sisley bronzer is gentle sunpowder gel in a compact form. The pale skin looks like it has been kissed by the sun and the existing tan is refreshed. This Chantecaille bronzer is finely milled gel-powder bronzer that gives the face a glow that re-creates a real sun-kissed effect with a natural finish. The advanced gel-powder formula uses pearl pigment technology to create a soft, beautiful glow but never looks or feels like makeup. This bronzer is available in two colors- Sirene- golden bronze and Goa- cocoa bronzer. Both of these bronzers looks quite dark in the pan. That’s make me curious, how it would look on skin.
As this bronzer it’s not available in Europe- so it’s continuing to stay on my wishlist.
